A Little Housekeeping
This is a little on the "boring, basic black" side, but I can't really say I don't like it.
I would never have expected clothes like this from Versace, so funky, so... young. Love the prints.
Seriously, this is the first Chanel collection in which I liked at least 50% of the looks. The bags from this show were ridiculously cool.
That second outfit is awesome, in make-you-cross-eyed kinda way.
Photos from style.com, obviously.
Merry Christmas!
I hope Fashion Santa (see below) brings you all you desire. Enjoy the holiday and if you don't celebrate it, have a great day!
Rodarte for Target
I got a bunch of stuff (double yaaay!) I'll post pics of my haul, but I'll do it on the 26th, probably, so that I can show you all everything at once! Merry Christmas!
On a side note, I think this has to be a record (for this blog, I mean) for the most amount of posts in a row without pictures... This must be corrected. :D
I can't make my way over to Target to buy the new collection! And the fates have conspired so that I actually can't make any online purchases right now... :(
My only hope is that people in my area aren't too fashionable and just skip the collection completely (it happens!)
I've seen more and more pieces on people's blogs, and I am sooooooo jealous!
If it's snowing in your area, enjoy the snow, have some hot cocoa, etc. If it's warm where you live, well... bust out the short shorts? ;) xx
Makeup
I don't think I write about makeup often on this blog, but I have been thinking about it a lot lately. What about it, you ask?
Ahem. I LOVE makeup!
But I rarely ever wear it.
I usually leave the house with Burt's Bees and maybe some lip gloss on over that... mainly because I get ready for class about 10 minutes before I'm supposed to leave. When I go out, however, I go all out with the makeup.
Anyway, what I've been thinking about is that I really need to add some more tricks to my repertoire, along with some more products. For instance, I need to find the Perfect Red Lipstick, PRL for short. (Can we make this into a popular little acronym, like LBD? Please?)
I had a brief encounter with it in 2006 (see below), on Halloween. Unfortunately, the lipstick belonged to a friend of mine (Hi, Caz! Love you!) and I can't remember the brand or the name of the color.
Somehow, I seem to only wear red lipstick on Halloween. I have red lippy I have now, but it's a little too muted/orange-y. Maybe I should bring the other pic in to MAC so they can help me find something like it?
What about you guys? Any makeup wishes/wants? Who knows, maybe someone in the comments can help you with that look you're trying to achieve...
I'm back!
I've really missed posting and reading your blogs and comments, so I'm happy to get back into the groove.
Today's my second day of vacation, and I haven't really done much except do my hair (I'm taking out my braids) and catch up on all my Bloglovin posts.
Oh, also I've randomly been watching Korean dramas. I just finished Boys Over Flowers. Any suggestions for the next one? ;) xx
Lots of shopping news!
Sorry I've been gone so long. But I come bearing lots of good news (and lots of text), including a sweepstakes!
First off, I hope you all have had a lovely Thanksgiving holiday. And if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope you had a great week anyway.
So, down to business. I have a link from ShopIntuition.com to a "secret" landing page. On this page, you can enter a sweepstakes for a $100 gift card for the website! Entries are due by December 3 (so my bad for taking so long with this, but you've still got like... 5 days?) and the winner will be notified on Dec. 4th. Good luck! Shop Intuition also has their annual shopping guide up. I always find shopping guides useful, especially when I have NO idea what to get someone.
Second -- and this is what I'm most excited about -- De*Nada's online store is opening! When I first wrote about De*Nada and its designer, Virginia Arrisueno, I mentioned that the store was soon to open. So tomorrow, November 30, go to denadadesign.com and check out the entire Autumn and Winter '09 collections. Best part of it? They ship worldwide!! Happy shopping!
Camilla Alves in Isabella Oliver
She looks absolutely adorable! I especially like the long blazer paired with that dress. The dress is actually on their website, so if you know someone who is preggers (or you are!) and would like it, you can get it.
Speaking of which, they're having a sale on their website... It's 20% off with a special code:
Free shipping at Gilt Groupe today!
Eastwick cancelled :(

In memoriam, and in hope, let's take a look back at past collections:

But anyway, the jackets featured in the email are pretty hot, so I figured I'd share them with you guys. Chiggedy-check 'em out:
This is the jacket Miss (Ms.? Mrs.? Really, I have no idea who she is!) Cassidy is wearing in the picture above. It's pretty dope... I can't remember how much it costs though.
I'm not a big fan of the crinkled look, but you might be. I'd have to see how it looks on. Anyway, all these jackets are available on shopintuition.com, so if you've been in the market for a leather jacket that's a little different from what's out there right now, take a look!
P.S. I'm not getting anything out of writing this post. (Unfortunately...?) I just really liked the first jacket.
Forever 21 Twist
I have returned!! With a...
Leave it to Italians to capture the sentiment of the Wild West. Spaghetti westerns, indeed... This year's D&G collection reminded me of Sukiyaki Western Django (check it, but only for the costumes... the storyline is horrible), what with its truckloads -- er...wagonloads? -- of denim (shirts, skirts, pants, oh my!), floor-dusting skirts, cowboy boots and bandannas. The latter were even screen-printed onto shirts.
Like style.com mentioned, Sirs D and G certainly do have a routine: "Pick a theme, then whip up the familiar leggy looks in the appropriate fabrics." (style.com) Regardless, they still managed to create a collection that was fresh, attention-grabbing, and most importantly, desirable. Who doesn't want those studded boots, leather oxford shirts, printed shirts and roughed-up denim?

So I'm a little late, but...
"Bulletproof" by La Roux. I've had this song on repeat for ages. Enjoy!
P.S. Did you spot the designer clothing? ;)

What was kind of cool about it though, was a) I didn't die and b) He and I were both wearing these claw rings I saw on ebay. I can't be bothered to find a picture now, but they fit on your fingertips and they have metal claws at the end. I was thinking about buying them, and maybe I should...? Haha... oh, Freddy, even you bring me inspiration.
Side note: I'm actually terrified of Freddy... If I think about him for too long, I'll get really scared. (I'm such a loser!)
