Blogger meetup: December

About a thousand years ago (last December), I went to a CAPFABB blogger meetup at Bloomingdale's. Having never been to a Bloomingdale's, it was really nice to check out the store. It's really quite swank -- there are designer goods everywhere. Thankfully, I have no money, so I wasn't too tempted to shop.

Getting on to the main event, there was a contest to put together a lookbook from the featured items. Some of the things included perfume, jewelry, bags, iPhone cases, and goods from Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch and others.

I wanted these pants so badly! They raffled off some jeans, which were AWESOME (can't remember which brand they were though), but I didn't win any. :(

The theme for dressing was holiday glitter or something like that, so lots of people wore very sparkly things.

Her skirt was pretty dope.

We also got goody bags from Bloomingdale's, which included beauty samples, texting gloves, earphones, and some other things. All in all, I had a great time. I wish I were able to go to more CAPFABB events, but they're usually on Tuesday evenings, which doesn't work for me.

If you're in the DC area and you're a fashion or beauty blogger, I really suggest you check out CAPFABB and definitely attend the events - they're tons of fun!

Washington Auto Show

I went to the Washington Auto Show for the first time last year. It was really interesting, though I wish they had had more concept cars. Pics below, enjoy!

I love that the Mustangs have fish gills.

This is the fastest car running on vegetable oil on Earth. How cool is that?? The engineers were really nice and explained everything!

This car was soooooooooooo cool! It's a concept car, and the doors have no handles... it was awesome. I can't remember which make it was though. I think maybe Lexus?

I feel like Batman would drive this car.

 The original Fiat. How cute!

Did you enjoy the break from fashion? I think I am going to incorporate more of the things I do in general... I figure it'll be fun for everyone, and I'll have more to post about.

London Fashion Week Part 2

Once again, London Fashion Week is my favorite. The color, the prints... as a whole, LFW just screams "daring". I'm really looking forward to dressing in acidic bright colors, digital prints and patterns, metallics and sheen.

Not sure what's up with the feather fauxhawk, but whatevs. I love this print! Doesn't it remind you of a QR code?

Mary Katrantzou, don't even get me started. Who else would make a print out of pictures of lawns, typewriters, pencils, and spoons? And not even a drawing of those things, but actual pictures? To top it off, they're wearable! Yes, they are "look at me" pieces, but overall, they're not unnecessarily over the top. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Mary K. is the queen of prints. All hail.

Will mustard yellow make a comeback?
What I wouldn't do to get my hands on these sneakers...
