Richard Chai Love F'10

Highlights: Pinstripes, white or silver shoes, large coat lapels, plenty of layers.

I think we all know how much I love Richard Chai, sooooo moving on. What's interesting here is the way items are layered -- a cropped shirt over a regular length one, short sleeves over long. That, and some other details give this collection a "classed-up slacker" vibe.

Breaking news: Alexander McQueen dead

What a shock...I don't really know what to say. There's no denying his talent, his vision and what he has given to the fashion world. It's a shame that he's gone at such a (relatively) young age and just at the beginning of Fashion Week. He will definitely be missed at London Fashion Week, and not just because of the clothes he created. My prayers and thoughts are with his family.

Here is the BBC reportage.

MAC x Liberty of London

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh Myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy God! According to WWD, this is actually 2-month-old news. But still, I'm excited and I don't even like florals like that. But c'mon, look at this MAC x Liberty collection -- you know you're excited too. I want that nail polish badly!

Rachel Roy Pre-Fall

Highlights: Plunging necklines, shoes with cutouts, cropped length pants, pastels and neutrals.

I swear, Rachel Roy keeps getting better and better. A few years ago, on this blog, I blasted one of her collections (honestly, it was hideous). But now, I find myself looking forward to Rachel Roy's products, and this pre-fall showing was no exception. Pink knit pants? Yes, please!
