Two for one: Helmut Lang and Wayne F'10

Well, I put these together for a reason: similar outerwear silhouettes. I'm tempted to call this the influence of Rick Owens, but I think that may be a little too simplistic. In any case, I was pleasantly surprised by Helmut Lang. I'm generally not a big fan because the designs are too austere, but this time around, I was happy to see a color palette that included more than just black and some fabrics that beg to be touched. As for Wayne, if there were ever a collection to make me consider wearing sweats outside for more than just a quick run to Target, this would be it.

  3. Helmut Lang can do no wrong in my eyes. So glad they revived it and they channeled the spirit of the old line so well.
