Sneaker Fiend, Part 1
While I am nowhere near the level of obsession that "sneakerheads" have reached, I do love a good sneaker.
My latest obsession are Nike Dunks. I'm not usually a big fan of Nike (ADIDAS all the way!), but these color combinations are amazing.
This is the Nike Dunk High Premium. Granted, it's not the most elegant shoe I've ever seen, but...
It glows in the dark. As far as I'm concerned, it's over -- I have to have these.
This is the Dunk Low in granite/light charcoal/white. Simple and classic, goes with everything.
Nike Dunk Low Premium in Birch/Green Bean/Dark Cinder/Lake Blue. Pearlescent leather? 'Nuff said.
The colors -- the colors! It gets better, dear readers. You can customize your own at NikeiD. Just be careful: you have to pick the right size, since they only offer it in men's.

Finally...
I got my silver flats! I love them, but there is absolutely no grip on the sole. I'm going to take a metal nail file or scissors and scratch the bottom up, so I don't slip and fall while I'm walking on campus. That's just way too embarrassing, and it always happens when there are 82739 people around you...but I digress. Here they are:

If you're in London, you can take a peek at New York fashion designers' collections. The exhibit, which includes artists like Zac Posen (who went to Central Saint Martins *I'm so jealous!!*) and Behnaz Sarafpour, will be at the V&A from April 17 to September 23. So there isn't really a huge rush, b/c you've got quite a while to see it, but hey -- maybe you'd want to see it twice...

This is a dress from Zac Posen's debut ready-to-wear line (Fall 2002). See, metallics have always been in! (ha.)
Behnaz Sarafpour's contribution to the V&A collection.
This beautiful jersey dress is from Costello Tagliapietra (duo Jeffrey Costello and Roberto Tagliapetra). I'm not entirely sure if you have to be really tall to pull this off, but regardless -- it's breathtaking. I especially like the train; it's dramatic without being over-the-top, which is just what you need sometimes. Over-the-top has its place, but so does the subtle drama that this dress exudes.
Apparently, I'm a sucker for draping, because I couldn't stop staring at this Jean Yu dress. I like the Greco-Roman influence -- doesn't the top remind you of a toga?
Thom Browne's highwater-chic designs are also on exhibit. You know -- I give major props to any guy who would actually buy and wear this out in public. It takes a lot of bravery to wear what my brother and I affectionately call "ankle-bangers" on PURPOSE. (Also, what the heck is this suit made out of?)
I'm going to let my Brit friends know about it; if all goes well, maybe I can get some first-hand pictures of the exhibit and even *gasp* a review? Cross your fingers!

Hello all,
I'm so sorry I haven't updated in a while, BUT finals are approaching at school, which means I've got last-minute "midterms," homework assignments, and projects to complete. Trust me, I'd much rather write about fashion, but I can't right now.

I have been searching like a madwoman for silver flats ever since I ripped a hole in my silver leather ones from Gap while walking around Dublin. Unfortunately, every time I see a pair in a store, they're either way too expensive or my size isn't in stock. I think I'm just going to give up and buy them from the internet.
Flats are a lifesaver when you have to walk around a lot -- they're perfect for college if you're not intrepid enough to wear heels all day (I rarely ever do). Thankfully, that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice any bit of style. Here are some of my favorites.
